
I was one of those girls that believed that aerobic work was the only way to lose weight. I also thought lifting weights gave you big muscles.
NOT TRUE!
Although I didn’t have much weight to lose, Neil’s guidance helped me lose body fat and, dare I say, ‘tone up’! Over time my circumstances changed and before long I had fallen back into the trap of road runs and exercise classes. Although I was still exercising, I had actually begun to put weight on! If you are relying on cardio as your main form of exercise then you need to speak to Neil. While classes can be fun they will not change your shape in the way strength training can. I lift weights every week and no I don’t have big manly muscles!
